Geoscience BC Releases Three Reports from the QUEST-Northwest Project
April 3, 2012 -Geoscience BC is pleased to announce the release of the following three reports:
All three reports are now available for download through Geoscience BC's website at: www.geosciencebc.com/s/DataReleases.asp. A limited number of digital copies of the reports will also be available from Geoscience BC's booth at the Kamloops Exploration Group Conference on April 3rd and 4th at no charge.
All three reports present new information collected as part of the QUEST-Northwest Project. The QUEST-Northwest Project includes two regional airborne magnetic surveys (released as Geoscience BC Reports 2012-02 and -03 in January), regional bedrock mapping, and a regional ground geochemical program. About Geoscience BC Reports 2012-05 and 2012-06: QUEST-Northwest Sample Reanalysis (ICP-MS and INAA)

Geoscience BC Reports 2012-05 and 2012-06 present the results of the reanalysis of previously collected RGS samples in the QUEST-Northwest Project area. Report 2012-5 contains new ICP-MS analytical results for the Tulsequah map area (NTS 104K), and Report 2012-6 contains new INAA analytical results for the Sumdum and Telegraph Creek map areas (NTS 104F and G).
The QUEST-Northwest Project also includes the collection of new stream sediment samples in parts of 104G, H, I and J. The results of this regional infill sampling program are expected to be released later this spring.

This digital bedrock data set presents the field mapping results of the QUEST-Northwest Dease Lake Geoscience project - a partnership between Geoscience BC and the BC Geological Survey. The project completed regional scale bedrock geological mapping over a 1275 km2 area extending south west from the community of Dease Lake to the Tuya River, and coincides with the northwest corner of the QUEST-Northwest Block 1 airborne magnetic survey area.
The report provides revised geology, geochemical analyses of alteration and mineralization and new isotopic dates for volcanic and plutonic rocks in the area, which when integrated with regional exploration target models and the new airborne magnetic and geochemical data collected by Geoscience BC are expected to benefit the exploration community. A data package including 13 shapefiles and 2 excel tables is included.
