CORRECTION: QUEST-Northwest New Geochemical Sampling: Survey Outlines Revised

December 16, 2011- The new geochemical sampling undertaken this summer in the Telegraph Creek region covers a smaller area than previously indicated (see updated map below). The survey area roughly coincides with the QUEST-Northwest Block 2 geophysical survey outline. The new sampling in the Dease Lake area has expanded slightly and coincides with the QUEST-Northwest Block 1 geophysical survey area (see map below). The geochemical reanalysis survey area northeast of Telegraph Creek remains unchanged.

The QUEST-Northwest Project is a geoscience initiative designed by Geoscience BC to stimulate exploration interest and investment in the northwest part of the Province, and to enhance the success of exploration activities in the region. It currently includes three separate activities: airborne geophysical surveys, a regional ground geochemical program and bedrock geological mapping. In addition to the new high-resolution airborne surveys in the north, an airborne magnetic data compilation project is in development in the Stewart area to the south.
