Geoscience BC QUEST Project Update

December 20, 2007 -Geoscience BC is pleased to report that Sander Geophysics Ltd. (SGL) has now begun flying the QUEST airborne gravity survey, and is currently based in Prince George. As of Monday, December 12th the gravity survey is over 20% complete. The QUEST airborne electromagnetic survey, carried out by Geotech Ltd. and TRK Helicopters, was completed at the end of October. Geoscience BC is aiming to release the electromagnetic data at the Mineral Exploration Roundup in January 2008, and the airborne gravity data in the spring of 2008.

The reanalysis of stream and lake sediment samples in the QUEST project area is nearing completion, with Geoscience BC aiming to release the results at Roundup. The new lake and stream sediment samples which were collected over the summer by Noble Exploration Services Ltd. and CME Consultants Inc. have all been submitted for processing and analysis. This new geochemical data set will be released in the spring of 2008.

The QUEST Project is a geoscience initiative designed by Geoscience BC to attract mineral exploration interest and investment to central British Columbia. The QUEST Project will compile the new geophysical and geochemical surveys with existing data sets for the region, and be released to the public in 2008. Over 700,000 ha of mineral title has been registered within the QUEST Project area since the project was officially announced in June in Prince George.
