Webinar to Present Results of Comprehensive Groundwater Study
Vancouver, BC - October 31, 2018 -Researchers will present and discuss the results of Geoscience BC's four-year Peace Project groundwater study in a technical webinar in on Wednesday, November 21.
The two-hour webinar will include presentations from experts around the world on the main elements of the project, which included the first ever regional scale groundwater mapping of British Columbia's Peace Region. Each presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

About the Peace Project
The maps, data and interpretations generated during the Peace Project provide an increased understanding of the aquifers and shallow groundwater in northeast BC and make it possible for First Nations, energy companies, communities and government to make informed decisions about the use and protection of water resources in the Peace region.
The Peace Project was supported by many partners, including Progress Energy Canada Ltd., ConocoPhillips Canada, BC Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development, Northern Development Initiative Trust, BC Oil & Gas Research and Innovation Society, the Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy, the BC Oil & Gas Commission, and the Ministry of Energy, Mines & Petroleum Resources. It had additional support from the Peace River Regional District and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
