This project generated basal till potential maps and analyzed geochemical and mineralogical samples across sixteen map sheets in the TREK program area.
The TREK Geophysical Survey included an airborne magnetic survey over 24,000 square kilometres of British Columbia’s Interior Plateau. In addition, high-resolution airborne magnetic data was purchased from Amarc Resources Ltd., RJK Explorations Ltd. and Deveron (Greencastle) Resources Ltd. and incorporated into the final deliverables.
This project combined interpretations of the Targeting Resources for Exploration and Knowledge (TREK) Geophysical Survey and new mapping into an updated bedrock geology map for the TREK program area.
The TREK program included two summers of field investigations for potential geothermal energy resources near Nazko, British Columbia.
This project was undertaken to determine if tree sap could provide a useful and possibly unique signal into buried mineral deposits in North Central British Columbia.
Plant exudates (saps, fluids transpired through leaf pores, salts and particulates on leaf surfaces that have crystallized from the plant fluids) can contain metals translocated from underlying mineralization into the saps and plant material, potentially making them a simple and cost-effective sample medium. This project aimed to use plant exudates as part of establishing a […]
Late Triassic to Middle Jurassic porphyry deposits in British Columbia are characterized as end members having calc‐alkalic or alkalic affinities (Barr et al., 1976; McMillan et al., 1995; Lang et al., 1995) with both categories, locally occurring as clusters such as at the Highland Valley calc‐alkalic and Mt. Polley alkalic camps. Recent exploration success in […]
