New Interpretation of Magnetic Data in Northeast BC

December 2, 2016 - Geoscience BC is pleased to announce the release of a study which uses the Peace Project airborne magnetic data to map the crystalline basement rocks in northeast British Columbia.

Geoscience BC Report 2016-17 presents the results of a study focused on using airborne magnetic data to map the crystalline basement rocks in northeast BC. Using airborne magnetic data recently collected as part of the Peace Project airborne survey as well as existing Geological Survey of Canada data, the report presents an interpretation of faults and the depth to basement. Digital products include geosoft-format grid files and maps, images, and 3-D inversion files.
