Important Update: Geoscience BC Report 2012-07 "QUEST-Northwest Regional Geochemical Data"

June 7, 2012 - It has been brought to our attention that there is some confusion regarding the UTM grid on the maps included in Geoscience BC Report 2012-07 "QUEST-Northwest Regional Geochemical Data, Northwest B.C."

Specifically, a custom UTM projection has been used on the maps (Appendices C & F) where the Central Meridian is at the center of the map extent, so that direction and distance measurements can be made with least distortion. For georeferencing the maps in a GIS software, it is recommended that the latitude/longitude graticule in North American Datum 1983 be used instead.

We are working on updating the maps to address this issue, but in the interim these Appendices will not be available for download.

Our apologies for any inconvenience.
