Got Pics? Share Your Mineral, Energy or Water Project Photos and Win!
October 3, 2018 - Geoscience BC has launched its annual hunt for pictures that tell a great geoscience story! Held every year, the Geoscience BC Photo Contest awards prizes for pictures that tell the story of any Geoscience BC-funded project.
Anyone who has worked on a Geoscience BC Project is eligible for this contest, including principal investigators, students (including scholarship winners) and field assistants, so please help spread the word to anyone who may have photos to submit.
For the first time, this year there are three prize categories available - one each for our minerals, energy and water strategic focus areas. The photos will be used in our Annual Report and Summary of Activity publications, as well as in other promotional materials.
Geoscience BC staff will award up to three (3) prizes of $200 for the photos that tell the best minerals, energy and water project stories. Pictures can be taken anywhere - in the field, in the lab, in the community - as long as it relates to Geoscience BC funded work.
We'll accept photos from projects that were taken at any time, but please don't send photos that have been previously submitted.
Please send your photos to Candice Appleby (appleby@geosciencebc.com) by Friday, November 16 along with a completed photo release form. Winners will be notified by email by November 30, 2018.
