Geoscience BC welcomes Janice Fingler and Candice Ridyard
July 30, 2015 - Geoscience BC is pleased to welcome to the team Janice Fingler as Project Manager and Candice Ridyard as Office Administrator and Executive Assistant.
Janice will assume the responsibilities of Christa Pellett as Project Manager for Geoscience BC during a 15-month contract. The role is responsible for project management, including the administration of project agreements, technical oversight, and assisting in identifying, designing and encouraging proposals for new projects that fulfill the organization's mandate.
Janice brings to Geoscience BC over 25 years of experience as a professional geologist and seasoned project manager, helping junior mineral exploration companies and their major company partners achieve project goals. Acting as a manager and technical consultant for clients, she has led teams in the search for diverse mineral deposits in B.C., Canada and internationally. With more than 175 months of on-the-ground, adaptive experience, she is known for optimizing available resources to guide projects to key decisions using strong planning, logistical and risk management skills.
Candice started her career in the mining industry in 2003 working at a Vancouver-based silver producer before departing Vancouver to gain international work experience in London, England. Upon returning to Vancouver, Candice worked for a junior exploration company with duties that included administrative support to executive staff, office management, corporate communications, marketing and corporate governance. She has also volunteered her time as a committee member to Mining for Miracles, a charity that supports BC Children's Hospital.
