2023 Geoscience BC Minerals and Energy Research Summaries Now Available
Vancouver, BC – January 22, 2024 – Research papers summarizing Geoscience BC minerals and energy research projects and scholarships are now available in the Summary of Activities 2023 volume.
The Summary of Activities 2023 (Geoscience BC Report 2024-01) contains eleven technical papers from ongoing Geoscience BC projects and the Geoscience BC Scholarship Program 2023 recipients. Nine papers focus on Critical Minerals and Metals activities in BC, including an introduction to a new geological compilation and selective mapping project in the West Kootenays and eight papers led by Geoscience BC Scholarship Program 2023 recipients. The final two Geoscience BC Scholarship 2023 recipient papers focus on Cleaner Energy and Geological Carbon Capture and Storage. The volume also contains a short introduction to Geoscience BC’s current Project Concepts and new projects for 2024.

As well as being available online, limited printed copies of the Summary of Activities volume are available from Geoscience BC, including at the AME Roundup 2024 conference from January 22-25 at booth #1310.
