Geoscience BC Membership and Sponsorship Opportunities Will Encourage Collaboration

Vancouver, BC – January 18, 2022 – Geoscience BC is set to launch new membership and sponsorship opportunities later this month, making it easier for a wide range of partners to support, provide input, network and stay up to date on its public minerals, energy and water research.

Membership opportunities are designed to encourage and enable partnerships and collaboration where there are common research needs and goals shared by industry, academia, communities, Indigenous groups and governments.

Geoscience BC President and CEO Gavin C. Dirom said: “Demand for Geoscience BC research is changing, and today’s challenges can only be met if we work together. Introducing membership and sponsorship opportunities is a key part of our strategy to deliver the earth science research that is needed to transition to a net-zero economy and to meet increased forecast demand for British Columbia’s natural resources.”

Geoscience BC membership opportunities, and information about research sponsorships, will be available from January 31, 2022. This coincides with the AME Roundup 2022 conference, where we will focus on conversations with mineral explorers, developers and related partners. Discussions with other potential membership partners and sponsors will continue over the coming months.
