Geoscience BC Welcomes Lana Eagle to Board of Directors



 

Vancouver, BC – September 23, 2019 – Geoscience BC welcomes Lana Eagle to its Board of Directors, effective September 19th, 2019.

“On behalf of the Geoscience BC Board of Directors and staff, I would like to welcome Lana to our Board,” said Geoscience BC Board Chair Stephanie Killam. “Her energy, breadth of board experience and well-recognized leadership regarding mineral development and Indigenous inclusion will be valuable additions to the Board.”

Lana’s background is in banking, economic development, wealth management and mineral exploration. She was one of the first Indigenous women to chair a junior mineral exploration company. Lana is an active volunteer and serves as a Director on the Association for Mineral Exploration’s Board, a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Mining and Mineral Exploration at the BC Institute of Technology, a co-chair of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Diversity and Inclusion Program Advisory Committee and advisor to the B.C. Centre for Training Excellence in Mining.
