Report Components

Report Description
As part of the Montney Water Project, Geoscience BC commissioned Foundry Spatial Ltd. to compile a comprehensive database on surface water sources and to conduct analysis of this information by overlaying watersheds with other available information. Analysis of surface water resources in the Montney took a broad approach, considering several aspects of the hydrologic cycle that influence timing and movement of water through the region, including: streamflow; lakes; water balance; surficial materials, land use and vegetation; climate; future climate model; ground water and paleovalleys; and ungauged watersheds. Results of this analysis are presented in the seven watershed posters that make up this report.

Funding for this work was provided by the Montney Water Project, a collaborative effort between Geoscience BC, industry partners and the BC government, with support from the Science and Community Environmental Knowledge (SCEK) Fund.
