2015 Horn River Basin Surface Water Monitoring Program - Final Report
by Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd.
The Horn River Basin Water Monitoring Study (part of Geoscience BC's Horn River Basin Aquifer Project) was undertaken by Kerr Wood Leidal Associates in partnership with local First Nations and Peace Country Technical Services). Developed in response to the expected need for water in the development of the Horn River Basin, the project aimed to conduct baseline monitoring of surface water to inform decision making for government, First Nations and industry. Project activities included hydrometric data, climate data monitoring, and water quality and biological sample collection.
Geoscience BC Report 2016 presents a project overview and the final data sets, providing a valuable baseline surface water data set for the Horn River Basin. A link to 'Real-time' hydrometric and climate station data is also available. Funding for this project was provided by the Horn River Basin Producers Group and Geoscience BC.
