Geoscience BC Releases First Geochemical Results from TREK Project
| ||Geoscience BC is pleased to announce the release of Geoscience BC Report 2014-10, "Regional Geochemical and Mineralogical Data, TREK Project, Interior Plateau, British Columbia." This report contains the first geochemical results from the TREK project. Short for Targeting Resources through Exploration and Knowledge, TREK is Geoscience BC's newest regional project focused on BC's Interior Plateau, an underexplored area that is considered highly prospective for mineral resources.|
The report is now available for download through Geoscience BC's website at www.geosciencebc.com/s/DataReleases.asp.
About Geoscience BC Report 2014-10
W. Jackaman and D. Sacco
Geoscience BC Report 2014-10 contains digital data files of field observations and analytical results from the 2013 TREK Geochemistry program, which focused on the eastern portion of the TREK project area. The digital data includes site location information, field observations and analytical data for 677 basal till samples and 281 lake sediment and water samples collected as part of the 2013 TREK Project. The data files include the following:
- till survey trace metal data
- till survey gold grain data
- till survey PCIM data
- till survey pebble count
- lake survey trace metal data
This information can be combined with the 2013 TREK Geophysical survey data and the Basal Till Potential Maps (BTPMs), that when combined, form a powerful tool for mineral exploration.
