The QUEST-South Project builds on Geoscience BC's successful QUEST and QUEST-West exploration geoscience projects. It includes regional geochemical surveys and regional airborne gravity over an area extending south from Williams Lake to the BC-USA border and west from Revelstoke to Pemberton.

QUEST

 

Geoscience BC's QUEST Project, initiated in 2007, is a program of regional geochemical and geophysical surveys designed to attract the mineral exploration industry to an under-explored region of British Columbia between Williams Lake and Mackenize.

QUEST-West

 

Following up on the success of the QUEST Project, Geoscience BC launched the QUEST-West Project in June 2008. The project will help identify the mineral potential of over 40,000 square kilometers from Vanderhoof and Fort St. James to Terrace and Kitimat.

Nechako

 

Geoscience BC's Nechako Seismic Project is located in the Nechako Basin west of Quesnel, in the heart of the Mountain Pine Beetle affected area of interior BC. This project includes a $2.5 million survey, totaling approximately 350 line-kilometres of new seismic data acquisition.
