Seeking Industry Partners to Participate in Geophysical Surveys in NW British Columbia

Geoscience BC is pleased to issue a call for industry partners to participate in the acquisition of airborne geophysical data in northwestern BC. Geoscience BC is proposing to undertake regional aeromagnetic surveys over one, two or three map sheets in northwest BC: NTS 104K - Tulsequah, 104M - Skagway, and 104O - Jennings River. These are some of the few remaining areas in BC without regional airborne magnetic coverage and all three areas are underlain by belts of highly prospective rocks.

Industry partners are being solicited by Geoscience BC to share in the cost of flying one or more of these sheets in return for exclusive access to the data for a period of 6 months prior to public release. Geoscience BC will determine which of the three map sheets will be flown based on the area(s) that receive the highest industry contribution. It is anticipated that the survey(s) will be flown in the spring of 2006.
